so, here goes my first entry on this blog. i've had others before but never managed to keep up with them - i was always busy with school, work, etc. and in my free time, i was either going out or catching up on my sleep. but anyways, here we go; it all has to start somewhere, right?
today is an epic, emotional, and pivitol day in my life. i went to my college to pick up my diploma. these days, finishing college in four years is kinda rare, and a lot of the times it takes people a bit longer; whether it be due to transfering schools, or switching majors, or just being young and fucking up. i'm gonna decline to say which one of the three (if any of those three reasons, or should i say excuses) apply to me in my life. needless to say, after three schools, five years, and wayyyy too many semesters to even count (counting summer & winter sessions too - i just tried to see if i could, without looking at a calendar, and i'd rather not do all that - i'm a journalist, i hate numbers, haha) i FINALLY have my bachelors of science degree in journalism. woo hoo! go me! even though i knew this past fall was my last semester and i'd be done and NOT going back in january (whew, what a relief!) and i'd have my degree, it was such an amazing feeling actually physically holding it in my hands. i'm not gonna lie, i cried like a little baby - i was emotional! i finally felt like i saw the 'light at the end of the tunnel', and having that diploma in my hands made all the late night papers/study sessions, weird and tough professors, fights for a parking spot, and *STRESS* allllll worth it...
so with that being said, i think this is a good time to re-invent and re-vamp my blog, and make it one kick-ass helluva piece of awesomeness to read.
